A member of the Security Traders Association of Chicago, the Chicago Board of Options Exchange, and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, Tina Sheth offers nearly seven years of experience in finance and market making. Joining Cygnus Atratus, LLC out of college, Ms. Sheth began as an Assistant Trader. Moving to the operations side of the company, Tina Sheth managed the day-to-day functions in support of the trading desk, as well as back office operations, human resources, and information technology. Serving as the manager of the assistant traders, Tina Sheth provided training and new hire educational support. Moving back to the floor in 2006, Tina Sheth worked nearly two years as a full trader, conducting electronic transactions and open outcry trading in the pit. In 2007, Tina Sheth returned upstairs, becoming a partner in the firm, and receiving a promotion to Chief Operations Officer. Managing a staff of 15, Ms. Sheth oversees many aspects of the company’s dealings, working primarily on business development and building the firm. Supporting the CEO, Ms. Sheth develops quantitative trading models and leverages her knowledge of technology to create profit centers through capitalizing on pricing differentials in the derivatives market. One of only 16 financiers in the Chicago area holding a Certificate in Quantitative Finance, Tina Sheth completed the CQF program in 2007. As a CQF delegate, Ms Sheth passed written examinations in six modules covering areas of quantitative finance, including statistical analysis, stochastic calculus, arbitrage, derivatives, investment strategy, and risk management. Tina Sheth earned a B.S. in Finance and Accounting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Active in charitable fund-raising from an early age, Tina Sheth collected more than $20,000 for Habitat for Humanity as a teenager. Ms. Sheth continues to participate in home building projects through Habitat for Humanity’s affiliate program in Miami.
