A longtime devotee of the New York contemporary art scene, Mr. Randy Slifka maintains relationships with several of the city’s most renowned museums. Earlier this year, The Wall Street Journal featured Randy Slifka on a list of prominent art benefactors since the recession. Randy Slifka spoke about financing and the art market two years ago during a conference hosted by the Museum of American Finance in New York, shortly after American Art Collector magazine highlighted his collection in a feature on his home’s interior design. As a collector, Randy Slifka carries on the tradition of his grandparents and his father, a distinguished philanthropist. Possessing three decades of experience, Randy Slifka has become one of New York’s most respected hedge fund managers. Through his proprietary firm, Slifka Asset Management, Randy Slifka offers a full range of services, including portfolio construction, static and dynamic asset allocation, manager monitoring and analysis, and risk management. Throughout most of the 1990s, Randy Slifka acted as a Senior Portfolio Manager and Principal at The Halcyon Partnerships, where he developed expertise in distressed debt and special situations while also engineering and supervising a multi-manager event-driven fund. Currently an Investment Advisor to the Great Bay Alternative Investment Fund and the Georgica Alternative Investment Fund, Randy Slifka possesses a strong command of U.S. and European equity, macro traders, and commodity trading, as well as convertible, statistical, and risk arbitrage.
