About me
Husband and wife team Dr. Peter Kangos and Linda Kangos joined forces in 1995 to administer child-centered healthcare through Kangos Pediatrics in Austin, Texas. Dr. Peter Kangos started his clinic as a solo practitioner in 1989. A board certified Pediatrician, Dr. Peter Kangos earned his medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York, and fulfilled his pediatrics internship and residency at the Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. His wife and partner, board certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Linda Kangos, acquired a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, and a Master of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, where she also earned her board certification. Both the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston engaged Linda Kangos to serve as a clinical instructor in their graduate nursing programs. Dr. Peter Kangos belongs to the Texas Medical Association, the Texas Pediatric Society, the Pediatric Physicians Alliance of Central Texas, and the Travis County Medical Society. Linda Kangos retains an active membership in the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. As the parents of six children, Dr. Peter Kangos and Linda Kangos share their first-hand knowledge of participatory parenting skills with the families they treat. Additionally, they offer educational resources for the benefit of their patients. Besides her interest in preventative health care, Linda Kangos calls attention to infant and child development and nutrition, and Dr. Peter Kangos advocates for the benefits of breastfeeding. Dr. Peter Kangos and Linda Kangos personally return phone calls during office hours; a service few medical practices offer.
