For over a decade, Pete Brownell has combined his talent for executive management with his expertise within the gunsmithing industry to head Brownells. Operating as President since 2008, Pete Brownell plays an instrumental role in maintaining the company’s solid reputation for providing high-quality firearm accessories and gunsmithing tools. Pete Brownell’s undertaking of the role of President marks the third generation of Brownells to oversee the company. From a young age, Pete Brownell has been an advocate of the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms. A Life Member of the National Rifle Association (NRA), Frank Brownell is an active member of the organization as a committee member. Frank Brownell’s passion for the industry both professionally and personally led to his recent endeavor to campaign for a seat on the NRA’s Board of Directors. Currently, Pete Brownell sits on the Boards of the USA Shooting Team Foundation, the Professional Outdoor Media Association, National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers, and Knife Rights. Pete Brownell also serves on the Board of Grinnell Regional Medical Center. Frank Brownell continues to be involved in the industry with roles as a host of gun-testing events and career fairs. Pete Brownell began his formal education as an undergraduate of the University of Iowa, where he studied administration and marketing. A decade later, Pete Brownell returned to his alma mater, earning his MBA in 2002. Outside of work, Pete Brownell enjoys spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, and rock climbing.
