About me
Nancy Tengler graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University with Honors and Distinction in 1980, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She followed her education with a long and successful career in financial management and has since established herself as an expert in her field. Nancy Tengler most recently served as President, Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Investment Officer of Fremont Investment Advisors, Inc., where she was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company, including $8 billion in portfolio assets. With years of financial expertise, Nancy Tengler often appears on CNBC news shows like Kudlow & Cramer and Squawk Box to offer market commentary. Nancy Tengler has also written numerous articles for such news sources as CNN Money, BusinessWeek, and Financial Advisor Magazine. In 2003, Nancy Tengler retired from investment management to pursue her passion for creative writing. Nancy Tengler earned admittance to St. Mary's College of California in Moraga, obtaining the MFA Advisory Board Scholarship for Literary Excellence and the James Townsend Scholarship for Excellence in Creative Writing. Nancy Tengler graduated from St. Mary's College of California with a Master's degree in Creative Nonfiction and has since garnered a teaching position with Contra Costa College, where she instructs courses on composition and critical thinking. Nancy Tengler is also in the process of writing two books, including her memoir, Occupational Hazard. In her free time, Nancy Tengler enjoys volunteering with Bay Area Friends of Armenia.
