Estrella Mountain Medical Group physician and Medical Director Dr. Mark Lonquist has been responsible for major improvements to the company since taking on a leadership role. Committed to excellent care for his patients, Dr. Mark Lonquist enacts specific plans to improve the quality of each person’s visit to the clinic. As Medical Director, Dr. Mark R. Lonquist instructs his fellow physicians on innovative techniques and new medical information available to the industry. On the business side, Dr. Mark Lonquist takes care of budget and HR matters for Estrella Mountain Medical Group (EMMG). Under his direction, Dr. Mark Lonquist expanded EMMG operations to three clinics and increased insurance providers fourfold. In addition, Dr. Mark Lonquist still sees several patients as their primary and family care physician. Although running EMMG is a fulltime position, Dr. Mark Lonquist also participates with West Valley Hospital’s Physician Leadership Council and directs a successful bank. Mark R. Lonquist, M.D. meets each month with West Valley Hospital’s doctors and management team to discuss ways to improve patient services and hospital activities. For West Valley National Bank, Mark Lonquist oversees budgets and builds capital while bringing business in for this Avondale, Arizona community bank. Director Mark Lonquist achieved his dream of creating a bank after two years of planning as Chair of the Compliance Committee. This season, Dr. Mark Lonquist has also been busy taking care of the Cleveland Indians as they go through Major League Baseball’s Spring Training in Goodyear, Arizona. As part of his efforts with the team, Dr. Mark Lonquist connects the players, the staff, and their families with medical care suitable to their needs. Additionally, Dr. Mark R. Lonquist conducts the team’s sports physicals before they go to the field and play ball.
