Marc Fantich at Fantich Media Group

About me

Marc Fantich was born into a family of the Midwest. In Detroit, Michigan at the beginning of the sixties the Fantich family was involved in all the city had to offer. Marc Fantich spent his early years cheering for the Detroit Tigers and loving cars. Marc Fantich was not the least bit interested in leaving Motor City.

A decade later, as he was approaching his tenth birthday, Marc Fantich was confronted with a grown up thought; moving. The year was 1970 and Marc Fantich’s parents had decided to move the family from the big, exciting city of Detroit to the tiny southern town of McAllen, Texas. Marc Fantich knew nothing about Texas. With the perception of a child, Marc Fantich expected Cowboys and Indians, tumbleweeds and dust blowing everywhere.

It turns out in retrospect that Marc Fantich was presented with a choice that would define a current passion that will live with him forever. Two wheeled vehicles when you are 10 years old represent more than transportation. The mini-bike purchased after his relocation to Texas represented speed, freedom and a step into manhood. His freedom came first in the form of a Yamaha JT-60 Mini Enduro that was purchased by his parents. Unlike kids that simply had a mini bike, Marc Fantich had a real motorcycle; and it was a Yamaha, not from Sears!

From that point on, Marc Fantich spent much of his youth riding his motorcycle. As Marc Fantich turned 16, another event came before him, the opportunity to learn motocross-riding skills from a veteran rider much older than him. His new goal was simple; Marc Fantich would go fast and win trophies. The summer of 1971 presented Marc Fantich with his first true opportunity to race and he was ready, or so he thought.

Notonly did Marc Fantich finish in last place out of the 15 other young boys, but also everyone else lapped him at least one time. While he gave it his best shot, he simply was not good enough or fast enough and that memory stays with him.

Key skills

Marc Fantich Plays Tough in the Game of Texas Creative Agencies and Sometimes that Means Being Soft

Ask Marc Fantich why he thrives in the creative agency business and he’ll tell you that it is all about how you play the game. Marc Fantich says that he prefers as little free agency as possible.

TX– Marc Fantich of Fantich Media Group knows that the advertising game is, at times, a brutal industry. Just as in sports where a Superstar player signs a huge contract with a team, or a favorite player is traded to a rival team, ad agencies are switched all the time. Clients may not like the results and so they go searching for a new agency. This reality is always in the forefront of Marc Fantich’s mind.

Agenciessuch as Marc Fantich’s Fantich Media Group are scrutinized on their creative work constantly. "Make the logo bigger," "I like the shots, but it needs more energy," "I need an amazing, creative commercial done for half the cost of your typical commercial." These are things ad executive Marc Fantich hears all the time. If Marc and his creative team fail to meet a client’s expectations, they run the risk of that client changing directions. Fortunately for Marc Fantich, his agency has not had that experience often.

Marc Fantich explains, “We pride ourselves in our clients' satisfaction of not just our creative work, but also the results.” That's why Marc Fantich maintains and even expands relationships with many of his clients. Marc recognizes that many of his clients have placed their faith in him since the inception of Fantich Media Group more than twenty years ago. When you add to that the number of new clients that now have long-term relationships with Marc Fantich, the conclusion that must be drawn is that Marc Fantich does indeed know something about the agency game.

Marc Fantich is growing his firm as others struggle to survive a challenging economy. His philosophy is simple; keep your clients close. They are the most important people to an agency.
