Lionel Fuhrman

With more than three decades of experience in the fashion industry, Lionel Fuhrman has significant expertise in both the manufacturing and design of high-end clothing. Educated at the Philadelphia Textile Institute (now Philadelphia University), Lionel Fuhrman received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Dyeing in 1959. Immediately after graduating, Lionel Fuhrman began working for Pearl Embroidery, a company that embroidered, dyed, and silk-screened fabrics for clothing manufacturers in the Northeastern United States. After spending significant time working with clients, Lionel Fuhrman established his own company, Screen Techs, to serve clothiers in Philadelphia. <br/><br/>Throughout the 60s and 70s, Lionel Fuhrman developed and managed several companies that specialized in textiles and fashion design, including Artemis, a purveyor of fine Italian clothing, and Wishful Thinking, a line of silk-screened t-shirts popular with teenagers. After spending several years in Italy and New York City, Lionel Fuhrman returned to Philadelphia in the mid-1980s to accept positions in retail clothing stores. <br/><br/>A dedicated member of his community, Lionel Fuhrman has also made many charitable contributions to worthy causes. A supporter of organizations like the Animal Rescue Fund, Lionel Fuhrman has made numerous donations to groups advocating for animal rights. He has also assisted in the funding of relief efforts in Haiti following the 2010 earthquake and in the Gulf region after Hurricane Katrina. <br/><br/>Lionel Fuhrman currently lives in New York City.<br/>
