Jay Jaffe

Chief Executive Officer and President of Jaffe PR, Jay Jaffe is a distinguished business strategist and world-renowned leader in the field of public relations, commanding more than 30 years of experience. Jay began his career in public relations in 1975, serving the political community. Shortly after moving to Washington, DC, Jay secured a position as Spokesperson for the Committee on Standards of Official Conduct of the U.S. House of Representatives. Functioning in this role, Jay interacted with key members of the national press on behalf of some of the most powerful men in government. Recognized for his tact and skill in addressing the media during episodes of political scandal and crisis, Jay was promoted to Assistant Staff Director. Jay worked on Capitol Hill for four years. <br/><br/>Prior to his work in the nation’s capital, Jay was an award-winning journalist. Showing an affinity for writing at an early age, Jay took up the editing duties of his fifth-grade newspaper. While serving his country in the U.S. Army, Jay contributed writing to the military periodicals, Stars and Stripes, and the Army Times. In addition, Jay conducted interviews with wounded soldiers on their way home to the U.S. from Vietnam. Stationed overseas, Jay again assumed the role of editor overseeing the publication of a hospital newspaper. After returning from his military service, Jay traveled to Augusta, Georgia, where he obtained his first professional position as a writer. Employed by The Augusta Chronicle Herald where he reported daily on events happening in and around the city.
