About me
As a Managing Director for UBS, David Shulman contributed to the U.S. division of the firm’s Fund for Better Government. UBS promoted David Shulman to Managing Director and Head of Global Distribution, where he served for nearly a decade. David Shulman’s responsibilities included overseeing credit research and distributions teams in the United States, APAC and Europe. After UBS Investment Bank added a new product area, the municipal division in 2006, David Shulman earned the Global Head of Municipal Securities Group position. The firm was looking to better integrate this division into its’ successful institutional fixed income platform. David Shulman first studied economics, marketing, and management at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. In addition to his academics, David Shulman played the placekicker position for Penn’s football team. David Shulman’s 1982 season brought the Quakers their first Ivy League championship since 1959. David Shulman made the winning kick in a close game against Harvard, and his next two years followed with more season wins. Today, David Shulman still participates in a team setting as an Advisory Board member for Connecticut’s Trust for Public Land (TPL). David Shulman campaigned for open space environmental preservation through many hours of volunteer time and fundraising efforts. David Shulman helped fundraise specifically for the Mill River project of Stamford, where he promoted land and water cleanup side-by-side with sustainable developments to make Mill River a vital part of the community.
