Barry Melnkovic

The former Vice President of Human Resources for Owens Corning’s Building Materials Group, Mr. Barry Melnkovic commands almost 30 years of extensive human resources management experience. Recognized globally, Barry Melnkovic has held roles with international companies such as Lilly Industries, Inc; Motor Coach Industries, Inc; Holland American Line; and Owens Corning. With a career is marked by a number of successes, Barry Melnkovic is well known among colleagues and industry leaders for his expertise in company turnarounds. Exalted by Motor Coach Industries as an “Inspirational Leader,” Barry Melnkovic has also been lauded for his five-year tenure with Owens Corning, which the International Quality and Productivity Center (IQPC) has used as a benchmark case study. Recognized for his motivational prowess in addition to his exemplary work, IQPC invited Barry Melnkovic to speak about his work. Barry Melnkovic was also honored by the American Society for Training and Development, which named him a Blue Chip Company Talent Management Executive alongside the likes of leaders at Yum Brands, General Motors, IBM, and Deere and Company. Barry Melnkovic began his formal education as an undergraduate at the University of Pittsburgh, where he studied economics. Committed to academic excellence, Barry Melnkovic graduated cum laude with his Bachelor’s degree. Barry Melnkovic later attended Rutgers University, from which he obtained his Master of Science in Human Resources. Later, Barry Melnkovic earned his Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) certification. A resident of Holland, Ohio, Barry Melnkovic maintains a number of personal hobbies and interests. Barry Melnkovic particularly enjoys weight lifting, running, traveling, and skiing.
