A former New York City Police Detective Investigator, Thomas Ruskin earned the reputation of being a highly decorated Detective during his tenure with the department. Thomas Ruskin bore personal responsibility for Crisis Management for the Mayor, and he also served the Police Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner of Operations and Crime Control Strategies for New York City. Thomas Ruskin has played crucial roles in the investigation of cases like the 1993 attack on the World Trade Center and the NYC subway system bombing as well as in high-profile narcotics and organized crime cases. At the beginning of his career, Thomas Ruskin was employed by the Department of Environmental Protection and Fire Department; he eventually rose to the position of Senior Investigator. Subsequently, Thomas Ruskin demonstrated his aptitude as an investigator with the Burglary Latent Print Unit and the Organized Control Bureau-Narcotics Division’s Special Project Unit. In addition to his time with the New York City Police Department, Thomas Ruskin has received extensive training from the United States Secret Service in the field of Dignitary Protection. A well-respected figure in his discipline, Thomas Ruskin is affiliated with the New York City Police Department Honor Legion, the International Police Association, the National Council of Investigation and Security Services, Inc., and the NYPD Shomrim Society, among other organizations.
