Entrepreneur Scott Tom has a wide array of business experience, ranging from software development to numerous philanthropic efforts. Throughout his career, Scott Tom has utilized both his education in Business Administration and his personal dedication to charitable causes. Scott Tom graduated from the University of Montana, paying his own tuition with money saved from his previous work as a welder. Earning a 3.7 GPA, Scott Tom received two Bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration and Finance and Management. Scott Tom discovered his passion for philanthropy during his time as a student, becoming involved in the Boys and Girls Club of Missoula and the Adopt-a-Highway project, among others. Recently, Scott Tom and his father Philip Tom organized a charity golf tournament, the Lakeshore Golf Open, to raise money and awareness for the Make-a-Wish Foundation. The Lakeshore Golf Open’s success enabled Scott Tom to develop the tournament into an annual event. In addition to his commitment to the Make-a-Wish Foundation, Scott Tom has organized a neighborhood vehicle donation project with Seattle, Washington’s Donate Cars to Charity program. Among the program’s beneficiaries were the Seattle Lighthouse for the Blind, Volunteers of America, and the American Diabetes Association. In addition to his charity work, Scott Tom has an experienced command of business, establishing his first company upon graduating from the University of Montana. Scott Tom traveled to Seoul, South Korea, where he became Executive Co-Founder of a software company that provided operational support to merchant clients. Scott Tom developed growth strategy and managed the company budget, creating a successful product that reached international consumers. Scott Tom’s company covered 6 countries and employed more than 500 people in the software industry. Currently residing in Las Vegas, Nevada, Scott Tom is engaged philanthropically while pursuing his private pilot’s license. Scott Tom also enjoys spending his free time playing chess and poker.
