Based in New Orleans, Louisiana, Mr. Matthew Ungarino is an accomplished lawyer with extensive experience as a litigator. Throughout his career, Matthew Ungarino has participated in more than 400 federal district courts cases in the United States. In addition to arguing before the Louisiana Supreme Court on multiple occasions, Matthew Ungarino has handled four cases brought before the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and briefed a bad faith case for the United States Supreme Court. At present, Matthew Ungarino is a Managing Partner at Ungarino & Eckert, a firm that operates six offices throughout Louisiana and Mississippi. Matthew Ungarino co-founded Ungarino & Eckert in 1994 and it has been recognized as one of the top client-focused firms in the area. Ungarino & Eckert is driven by a commitment to the client’s best interests, and the firm has been honored by its success in a construction defect case in which the firm represented the contractor’s Comprehensive General Liability insurer. Matthew Ungarino is a member of the Louisiana Bar Association and is active in the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Business from Tulane University, Matthew Ungarino graduated from a joint Master of Business Administration and Juris Doctor program at Loyola University in 1984.
