Ms Virgili has acted the President and CEO of the Glenwood Springs Chamber Resort Association for twenty-five years, a testimony to her proven effectiveness at guiding the development of this noted tourist destination surrounded by the magnificent beauty of Colorado. While Marianne Virgili has been at its helm of the Glenwood Springs Chamber Resort Association, she has been honored with a number of significant accolades from national and state officials. For her work in mentoring youth, Marianne Virgili received the prestigious Daily Point of Light award from President Bill Clinton and the Outstanding Colorado Youth Philanthropy Award from Governor Roy Romer. Moreover, Marianne Virgili was named a 2009-2010 Ford Fellow by the Ford Foundation Fellowship for Regional Sustainable Development. Marianne Virgili’s skills as the editor and publisher of the Official Insider's Guide to Glenwood Springs have been honored with an award for best publication writing by the North American Travel Journalists Association.
