Mr. Kenneth A. Burr brings 10 years of experience in counseling and therapy to his current position as President and Owner of Life Cycle Family Counseling, PS in Seattle, Washington. A licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Kenneth Burr offers a diverse array of therapy services for individuals, couples, and families. In addition to being a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Kenneth Burr is also a minister. Ordained by the American Baptist Churches USA, Kenneth Burr has formerly served as pastor of the Lynnwood Free Methodist Church in Lynnwood, Washington, and as pastor of the Kirkham Free Methodist Church in Lancashire, England. Kenneth Burr served in the former capacity for seven years and the latter for one year. Kenneth Burr’s unique perspective on counseling comes from his combined experience as a pastor and licensed therapist. In his work, Kenneth Burr aims for holistic therapy, combining spirituality and sexuality with physical and emotional health to help clients feel completely at peace with themselves. A tolerant and open-minded individual, Kenneth Burr makes his practice available to all clients, regardless of race, gender, or sexual orientations. In fact, Kenneth Burr’s work in the gay and lesbian community has earned him national prominence. Kenneth Burr’s book, “Coming Out, Coming Home: Making Room for Gay Spirituality in Therapy,” was published in March 2009 by Routledge, Taylor and Francis and is also available at Kenneth Burr first studied at Seattle Pacific College, earning his Bachelor’s degree in Biology. He then received his Master’s degree in Theology at the Fuller Theological Seminary. Entering the field of counseling, Kenneth Burr received his training in Marriage and Family Therapy from Presbyterian Counseling Services.
