After her own son was diagnosed with autism, Kazuko Curtin formed CARE Clinics in 2004 as a resource for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) and their families. Kazuko Curtin was told that her son would never talk or write, and she established CARE Clinics in Austin, Texas, determined to provide hope and further options for other children. Operating on the belief that all behavioral issues have biomedical roots, CARE Clinics conducts advanced genetic testing to create a genetic blueprint for each child to allow for personalized treatment. Kazuko Curtin, who serves as Chief Executive Officer, guides CARE Clinics and has pioneered the use of CARE BioMarkers and NutriGenomics to formulate these personal plans and thereby avoid unnecessary medications and supplements. In addition to ASDs such as autism, Asperger syndrome, and Rett syndrome, CARE Clinics also treats children diagnosed with attention deficit disorder (ADD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), depression, delayed development, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and heavy metal toxicity. The modern and safe techniques employed through CARE Clinics’ proven methodology have led to its expansion to the east coast. Recently, Kazuko Curtin opened the doors to a branch in Tampa, Florida, joining the existing clinic in the Austin area.
