Gad Tobaly

Over the years, information technology executive and operations specialist Gad Tobaly has played a central role in the management of major firms in Europe and the United States, with an impeccable industry track record. After earning his undergraduate degree in Physics and Engineering from Pierre and Marie Curie University and a Master’s degree in Management Information Systems from Paris Dauphine University, Gad Tobaly entered the ICT arena as a Systems Engineer for Computer Associates (CA) in Paris. Gad Tobaly ascended through the ranks at Computer Associates, gaining a series of promotions into engineering, sales and administration. Leaving Computer Associates as Executive Vice President of Sales in 1995, Gad Tobaly accepted an offer from Platinum Technology to serve as Managing Director of France, Switzerland, and Africa. During his 3 highly successful years with this company, he increased company revenues by 150 percent and helped its integration to Computer Associates in 1999 for what was then a record sale of 3.5 billion dollars. Joining CA in the US as Senior Vice President and General Manager, Gad Tobaly directed global businesses of up to $750 million revenue with staff responsibilities of up to 800. He integrated Application and Information Management acquired businesses into a single business unit, reducing sales cost -30% and growing revenue +25% within a year. Gad Tobaly also grew the North American Channels business +45%, by dramatically lowering channel conflicts and focusing on Value resellers. In 2004, he accepted an offer to serve as President and Chief Executive Officer with InfoVista, a publicly traded performance management software provider. In 3 years, Gad Tobaly doubled revenues, turned the company profitable for the first time in its 10-year history, launched new products and expanded globally, Shareholder value increased by 75 percent, paving the way for continued organic and external growth.
