Additionally, David Bergen instituted strategic planning processes for evaluating IT issues quickly and efficiently, including an IT Steering Committee and an IT Performance Dashboard. Furthermore, David Bergen developed a data warehousing strategy, which allowed executives worldwide to monitor business operations through custom software.<wbr/><br/><wbr/><br/><wbr/><br/>Asa<wbr/>result of David Bergen's initiatives, Levi Strauss was able to increase sales and reduce waste. A major benefit was David Bergen's supply chain infrastructure, which allowed Levi Strauss to partner with major distributors such as a Target, Wal-Mart, and K-Mart. Consequently, Levi Strauss was able to regain market share among budget shoppers.
