Over the course of his career in hospital and health care administration, Dave Bernier has maintained a dedication to build new business partnerships, generate substantial revenues, and cut costs by wide margins. In his most recent role as Administrator for the Chelan, Washington-based Lake Chelan Community Hospital, Dave Bernier helped to make his organization one of Modern Medicine’s 2008 Best Places to Work in Healthcare, owing in part to improved relations between employees and management. In addition, Dave Bernier ensured an operating margin increase from 2 percent to 18 percent during his first year with the Lake Chelan Community Hospital.<wbr/><br/><wbr/><br/>Prior<wbr/>to his time with the Lake Chelan Community Hospital, Dave Bernier worked for Management Consultants, Inc., based in Riverview, Florida, and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. From 2002 to 2006, Dave Bernier worked on operations for various health systems, implemented multiple team-building programs, conducted strategic planning, and forged strong relationships both in-house and in the business community. In a two-year period, Dave Bernier improved revenues by 67 percent for Management Consultants, Inc.<br/><br/>Dave Bernier joined Management Consultants, Inc. after completing a two-year internship at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in Baltimore, Maryland, where he learned many facets of U.S. government health care agencies. Concurrently, Dave Bernier served as Chief Legislative Officer for the United States Air Force Surgeon General – the culmination of more than 20 years of service in health care administration and the military. A fellow in the American College of Health Care Executives, Dave Bernier attended Wayland Baptist University, where he earned a B.S. in Healthcare Administration and followed up with an from Strayer University in Washington, D.C.
