About me
In 2001, Candace O&#8217;Brien founded AdoptInternational Inc., a leader in international adoption, home studies, and adoption post-placement services. Operating out of the state of Florida, Candace O&#8217;Brien&#8217;<wbr/>s<wbr/> agency handles adoptions from around the globe, including countries like Guatemala, Kazakhstan, Liberia, and Azerbaijan. As Executive Director, O&#8217;Brien works closely with members of the ministry and adoption officials to implement ethical adoption programs throughout the world. Candace O&#8217;Brien takes a personalized approach to the entire process, working one-on-one with clients to ensure they fully understand every step of the adoption process. In addition to leading AdoptInternational, Inc., Candace O&#8217;Brien serves as Executive Director of Adopt America, the domestic adoption arm of AdoptInternational. O&#8217;Brien&#8217;<wbr/>s<wbr/> Adopt America consists of therapists, educators, licensed social workers, and lawyers who provide tailored, professional, and compassionate services to adoptive families and birth parents. Through Candace O'Brien's work with Adopt America, families dealing with complex and problematic adoptions receive well-informed, thorough, and empathetic consultation services. Candace O&#8217;Brien began her legal career as a student of Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at Michigan State University. Candace O&#8217;Brien entered the Illinois Bar in 1992.
