Adam Siskind established the fashion line Playback Clothing with the intention of revolutionizing the way clothing is produced in the United States. Playback Clothing’s products are composed of 100% recycled materials, and Adam Siskind is dedicated to ensuring that all practices of his company serve to protect the environment. Before founding Playback Clothing, Adam Siskind led Bernette Textiles as President. Adam Siskind holds a Master of Business Administration from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts from Tufts University. Adam Siskind has designed a hip clothing line that consists of t-shirts, sweatshirts, and hoodies made from post-industrial materials. Adam Siskind invented the trademarked Eco-Logic fabric that is a blend of upcycled materials that have achieved eye-catching colors and a soft texture. Adam Siskind makes the environmental practices of his company central to the appeal of his clothing line, naming his product colors after recyclable materials. For example, Siskind’s line of shirts made from PET bottles are offered in Beer Bottle Brown, Soda Bottle Green, and Water Cooler Blue, among others. Adam Siskind takes pride in his company’s transparency regarding its practices and the impact it is having on the environment. Playback Clothing has devised a way to measure the impact of its business practices and product, including the raw materials used in the process of shipping, dying, and disposal. Adam Siskind is constantly researching and discovering new ways to make his company more environmentally efficient and commercially viable. When the company was put to the test, graduate students at Yale University proved Playback Clothing overwhelmingly superior to conventional sweatshirts in 23 out of 25 (eco or environmental) criteria.
