Before his brokerage career, Raul Harris commanded leadership and service skills at the US Air Force Academy. Harris studied Engineering and developed the tools necessary to become a pilot. Harris earned his pilot license, and still enjoys flying today. Harris received an Honorable Discharge from the United States Air Force and went on to pursue further study at the university level. Harris studied Computer Science at the University of Advancing Technology, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering. While in college, Raul Harris participated in track and earned a spot as an All American athlete. Harris was a football player and track team member in high school, as well. Today, Raul Harris is the CEO of Desert State Mortgage, a leading brokerage firm in the Phoenix, Arizona area. For his company, Harris has established the philosophy of "Customers for Life," which allows Desert State Mortgage to offer the best rates and lowest costs for its clients. Combining the latest market assessing technologies and expertise in the mortgage field, Harris has helped homeowners since the company's inception in 2006. Before Desert State Mortgage, Harris worked for Wells Fargo Bank and American Home Mortgage, where he received a top 5% customer service award. Harris is a member of the National Mortgage Brokers Association. In his spare time, the Eagle Scout, Raul Harris enjoys participating in outdoor activities. Harris is also a fan of reading authors Stephen King and Tom Clancy, and his favorite book is "The Audacity of Hope" by President Barack Obama.
